Welcome to Day 2 of our Christmas calendar! 🎄 Today, we’re diving into the galley—our compact yet highly functional kitchen on Vela. ⛵ Placed on the starboard side, just behind the nav station, our galley is designed for safety and efficiency: ✨ Longitudinal layout ensures we can cook securely even when the boat heels. ❄️ Big fridge and freezer for all our provisions. 🔥 Gas stove for cooking up delicious meals, even mid-passage. 💦 Double sink with 3 water outlets: Pressurized fresh water (hot/cold) Manual fresh water pump Manual saltwater pump (great for rinsing without wasting fresh water). On the opposite side, we have a spacious prepping area, and while we once had a microwave, we’ve replaced it with storage and an espresso machine—because we appreciate a good cup of coffee! ☕ What would you cook in this galley? Guadalupe is an island with many different options of things to do and going by sailboat gives you the opportunity to explore the island in depth with so many different anchorages. In total we explored 6 different anchorages, visited 2 different waterfalls, explored a place with hot water, we dove into a protected reserve, Duca went surfing and we saw a whale while leaving the last anchorage.
