We're finally sailing! Without any official sailing school lessons or courses, we have been teaching ourselves how to sail. We both started from zero without any sailing experience when we bought Ujud. Over the time of ownership, reaching this point has been a relatively slow process in comparison to the many sailors we encounter in person. We live aboard our small sailboat and it's taken time to gain confidence about the very many things that sailing involves. It's nice for future us to be able to look back to today's achievement as a couple, we are sailing with both the mainsail and the Genoa. Both sails are reefed down so that we're not overpowered. Navegamos haciendo bordos en ceñida, dando 45 grados la proa al viento de nuestro querido Aristos Tres, un Fortuna 9 que nos hace cumplir nuestros deseos. Al doblar la Punta Couso, que el la parte más septentrional de La Costa e la Vela, arribamos hasta dejar el viento 135 grados por la aleta de estribor. Luego de un par de trasluchadas, llegamos a nuestro destino: La Ría de Aldán. Have you ever seen the Harlequin Shrimp? These shrimps only grow about 5 cm long. But don't let the size fool you, they are capable of hunting preys much bigger than them. Their favourite food are the tube feet and other soft tissues of sea stars.
