Smooth exits are all about control. When taking EOTI out of a slip, I use the back and fill method (though there is not much backing up in this video) -a technique that lets me pivot the stern out while keeping the bow thruster engaged in maintaining alignment. It's not the easiest maneuver, but it gives you precision without unnecessary stress in tight quarters. Once we clear the slip, it's all about proper alignment in the fairway for a clean exit. But stay tuned until the end? we had an unexpected visitor off the stern. Any guesses? Drop them in the comments! ??
