Pour battre le record, détenu depuis le 25 décembre 2016 par Thomas Coville en 49 jours 3 heures 4 minutes et 28 secondes, François Gabart devra couper la ligne d’arrivée avant le 23 décembre à 13h09 (heure française) sur son trimaran MACIF. En plus de travailler sans relâche pour faire avancer son trimaran de 30 mètres le plus rapidement possible, il devra donc bénéficier d’un enchaînement de conditions météo favorables. While in St Augustine, our generator starting overheating. We needed time to have it cool down to figure out what the issue was. As we were preparing to leave the next morning, we decided to wait to look at it until we made it to our next planned stop that was longer than an overnight. Once we arrived at our next anchorage, we and by we, I mean Andy took a look at the generator.
