Eunice dharastii - A Bobbitt Worm named after a Marnie Conservation Pioneer Hidden beneath the sand lies one of the oceans most astonishing ambush predators. This is *Eunice dharastii* — a species of Bobbit worm named in honour of marine conservation pioneer Dr Dave Harasti. Though rarely seen in full, the creatures presence is unmistakable: iridescent plates, feathered antennae sensing the current, and a lightning-fast strike that has earned these worms a legendary reputation among divers and scientists. In this short film, youll glimpse the world of a hunter that relies on patience, precision and the cover of darkness. It waits in silence, anchored beneath the seabed, rising only when the moment is right. The contrast between its delicate colours and formidable behaviour makes this worm one of the oceans most fascinating contradictions. Slow your pace, watch closely and discover the secretive life of a creature whose story now carries the name of someone who has devoted his own to understanding and protecting the sea. www: https://solitude.world/issue-2-explorer-ocean-escapes/

The C-Cat 38 is an upgrade of the successful C-Cat 37, a sailing catamaran with a sporty feel, great comfort, and refined design. Designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group with the technical team at Comar Yachts. ▫️ The new C-Cat 38 is 73 cm longer than the C Cat 37, aiming for 0.9 knots additional boat speed at 10 knots of wind. In the cockpit, a comfortable aft bench and a table that’s 35 cm longer have been added. Among the new features are the composite davits and wheels, bowsprit, carbon posts, and bimini. The sail plan will be more powerful due to the increased area of the mainsail and the Code 0 sail. ▫️ Emphasis has been placed on performance and the ability to navigate well in all sea and wind conditions. The C-Cat 38, in addition to its generous sail plan, has a refined hull shape, the result of thorough study, allowing it to sail in light winds while delivering the same performance as a monohull cruiser-racer when sailing upwind and hitting exciting speeds in fresher conditions. ▫️ Comfort is delivered with the pronounced chines in the topsides, which gives a slender profile in the water before broadening above. The chine and the high trampoline above the waterline ensure a dry deck even in choppy waters. ▫️ Available in versions from 2 to 4 cabins and 2 bathrooms.  ▫️ @c-catamarans3865 #yachts #design #new #catamaran #multihulls

The ride out of the Narrows of Strangford Lough to the Irish Sea always makes me simile. Racing out with wind against tide can make for some serious lump at the bar mouth so the crew always has to be ready to react as the boat bounced up and over the waves. The lump as not as bad as expect during the exit of the 2022 South Rock Race, the J109 Going to Red had its first offshore hit out against Hindsight and came through with flying colours. The boys were hitting 9 knots with a strong push of outgoing tide as the raced toward the Bar Buoy before taking the left turn to head up the coast to the South Rock. The team on redline racing harding skipped a beat as they bounced off the top of a couple of short share waves. The trip back in should be a lot flatter as wind and tide will be heading in the same direction. As always the South Rock race was a load of fun, there is nothing like getting out for an offshore bash. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you are enjoying our shorts bits of some our racing trips as our J109 went bouncing over the strangford lough bar during the 2022 South Rock Race.

⛵🌊⚡ "Alone in the storm — but not giving up." From above, a small sailboat fights against towering waves and a raging sky. Thunder echoes, water explodes over the deck — a raw and cinematic battle with nature. #StormSailing #OceanStruggle #HighSeasDrama #CinematicStorm #SailingAlone #NatureVsSailor #WaveWarrior #ThunderAtSea #RealisticSailing #SurvivalAtSea
