Built in 1938 as 'C10' for the admiralty. She was renamed Destiny in 1958 and sold by the MOD in 1963. Since then she has been owned by Husbands Shipyard, Star Tugs and now owned by a South Wales Businessman, she carries his name 'Thomas'.

Shortly after the start of Race 2 of the 2024 Narrow Regatta the J109 going to read was shown a clean pair of heals from a rampaging VX1 that glided by to leeward with speed. The further the VX1 punched out into the middle of the narrows the more left to right of tide she picked up, allowed her to put and and front and disappear do the the race track. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying these short clips from our 2024 racing season.
