Bandwagon came with a Perkins 6.354 engine installed - it's far too massive to take out, so we are covering it with fire cloth, and creating a box around it, so it won't get covered in sawdust/swarf/slag/etc.

We're finally sailing! Without any official sailing school lessons or courses, we have been teaching ourselves how to sail. We both started from zero without any sailing experience when we bought Ujud. Over the time of ownership, reaching this point has been a relatively slow process in comparison to the many sailors we encounter in person. We live aboard our small sailboat and it's taken time to gain confidence about the very many things that sailing involves. It's nice for future us to be able to look back to today's achievement as a couple, we are sailing with both the mainsail and the Genoa. Both sails are reefed down so that we're not overpowered. Giorno 268 - domenica in oceano Domenica grigia Domenica di pasti eccezionali Di vento, ma anche di motore. Per fortuna, perché dovevamo dissalare dell’acqua. Domenica di chiacchiere in pozzetto, di condivisione di progetti e racconti del passato. Domenica anche di sonno, perché sebbene i turni di notte funzionino, parliamo comunque di una carenza di riposo e di giorno c’è chi sonnecchia qua e là. Domenica ordinaria insomma. He had accommodations set up for us for the evening or two that we spent kind of getting to getting uh getting our stuff situated before we went drove all the way up to the boat. He took us all the way up to Punat by Kirk and we were able to get us rooms there set up. We got onto the boat. He helped us do a quick walk through on the boat. Get familiar with everything. Find anything. Any other questions that we had. So then we did a bunch of maintenance and a bunch of cleanup and he really just walked us through each step. Of hey let's check this out. Oh I don't really like that. Let's work. Marine store runs. Shopping. Provisioning. We wanted to do all that with him. So he went with us and kind of pointed out.
