We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Building on this success, the yard has launched the Iliad 53. Available in an S-version, this new model is innovative in terms of design, as it does not have a flybridge, thus presents a sporty silhouette, or sedan appearance - hence the “S”. With its significantly lowered superstructure, the 53S can venture onto inland waterways, opening up new cruising possibilities. She’s also available in a flybridge version under the name of the Iliad 53F. Like her predecessors, the 53 is a beachable cruising boat, solidly built in a foam/vinylester sandwich.
