The cockpit is where we spend most of our time while sailing. It’s not just where we navigate Vela, but also a space for dining, working, and planning our next adventure. 🗺 Why a center cockpit, you ask? 🔹 It’s closer to the mast, giving us more stability at sea. 🔹 Enclosed protection keeps us safe and dry in bad weather. 🌧 🔹 Perfect for long-term cruising—though it’s a bit smaller than an aft cockpit, it’s a trade-off we’re happy to make. This winter, we’re upgrading the enclosure for better visibility while docking—ready for new adventures at anchor. 🌅 What do you think? Bei 40 knoten Sturm im Boot im Hafen zu sein, fühlt sich viel unsicherer an als gedacht. Man fühlt sich ausgeliefert, das Boot wackelt und ruckt, die Leinen knarzen und der Wind heult. Man macht sich Sorgen und schläft schlecht, weil man ständig auf ungewöhnliche Geräusche hört.

Giorno 61 - verso Malaga e oltre 🚀 Ci siamo, ci stiamo avvicinando. Lo stretto di Gibilterra si fa ogni giorno più vicino e noi ci stiamo preparando a salutare il nostro caro e dolce “riparo mediterraneo”. Non che l’Atlantico sia poi brutto, semplicemente non lo conosciamo 🤷♀️ Come tante altre cose di questo periodo, sarà una bella scoperta quella del grande e possente oceano Atlantico.
