😱 Did you know? Venus flytraps don’t actually NEED you to hand-feed them to survive! They’re carnivorous but get most of their energy from photosynthesis — just like any other plant. The bugs they catch act more like a natural fertilizer (extra nitrogen & nutrients) that helps them grow bigger traps and stay extra healthy. ✅ If your flytrap is outdoors in full sun: It will catch plenty of flies, ants, and spiders on its own. You rarely need to do anything! ✅ Indoors: You can feed it occasionally (1-2 small bugs per month max, like a fly or bloodworm) if you want faster growth. But don’t overdo it — triggering too many traps wastes the plant’s energy. In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey.
