đ± Did you know? Venus flytraps donât actually NEED you to hand-feed them to survive! Theyâre carnivorous but get most of their energy from photosynthesis â just like any other plant. The bugs they catch act more like a natural fertilizer (extra nitrogen & nutrients) that helps them grow bigger traps and stay extra healthy. â If your flytrap is outdoors in full sun: It will catch plenty of flies, ants, and spiders on its own. You rarely need to do anything! â Indoors: You can feed it occasionally (1-2 small bugs per month max, like a fly or bloodworm) if you want faster growth. But donât overdo it â triggering too many traps wastes the plantâs energy. Pro tips for happy flytraps: âą Use only distilled, rainwater, or RO water (tap water kills them with minerals) âą Bright direct sunlight (or strong grow lights) â 8+ hours a day âą Nutrient-free soil (peat moss + perlite mix) âą Never use fertilizer! Drop a â€ïž if you have a Venus flytrap and tell me: indoor or outdoor? Watch it loop and see that satisfying snap again! đȘŽâš #VenusFlytrap #CarnivorousPlants #PlantCare #Flytrap
In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, itâs time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, weâre ready to continue our journey. From scenic anchorages along Mallorcaâs rugged north coast, to hiding out in a marina during a passing mistral storm, this leg of our journey is filled with beauty, challenge, and rhythm of life at sea. đ Next up: Menorca â raw, wild, and deeply peaceful. Donât forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow our journey as we sail sacred seas! đđŒđđŒ Thanks for your support â€ïž Link in bio or search YouTube for âSailing Sacred Seasâ â letâs set sail together! âđ We hope that you will follow us on insta, Facebook and YouTube - SAILING SACRED SEAS #sailing #yacht #cruiser #sailingboat #travel #wanderlust #nature #adventure #boatlife #lagoon440 #lagooncatamaran #sailingyoutube #catamaran #mallorca
