The long anticipated premier of the first two MC31s to hit the water played out in today’s passage race between Melbourne and Geelong for the start of the Geelong Festival of Sails. S/V Karayato is a 2004 TRT 1200, for sale by owner. She is a Norwegian designed performance catamaran. This boat was modified at the yard by the previous owner to be more suitable as a liveaboard than the original TRT 1200 design. The bridge deck is lowered to make room for a spacious deck house with galley, a sofa that sits eight and a navigation station. The mast and rig is from 2013. The furling system, genoa and mainsail were bought new in 2019 and the jib is from 2022 . Karayato is quick, strong and a lot of fun to sail.
