Learning how to tie the Stevedore Stopper knot is well worth the effort. Here at bottom up boats we think it is the ultimate stopper knot. For a full tutorial follow the link below. https://youtu.be/eZnMnIMic7I It is relatively easy to tie, has a decent sized stopper, is secure under low load and easy to untie after load has been applied due to the way the knot is finished. These three key features of the stevedore stopper knot ensure that you will never loose a line through a pulley or cleat while knowing you will not need a knife to undo the knot after it has been loaded up. The Stevedore knot is used a lot less than a figure 8 or an overhand knot, we find this hard to comprehend as it is just as easy to tie with many benefits. That is why we encourage ever sailor to add this to hit list of most used knots. The team has at bottom up boats has loads of knot video tutorials, watch to the playlist below to learn more. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMoCfFBA9IMUcOoZy5QT-o66DM8uHukkH If you want to know even more knots why not pick up a copy of the definitive book on knots. The Ashley Book of Knot has approximately 3900 different kinds, from simple hitches to “Marlinspike Seamanship.” Mr. Ashley has included almost everything there is to know about them. Precisely named and classified (some new ones for the first time officially), they can be easily found in the big index. He tells when they appeared, something about their history, and what they are good for. . https://amzn.to/3fkisle We hope you enjoyed todays video, thanks for stopping by and supporting Bottom up Boats, as an amazon associate we get commission from associated sales. So wird aus der Bootsdrehung eine Wende. Hier mit einer J70 oder J 70 gezeigt, aber eigentlich immer so. Vor allem der Pinnenausleger
