Lanzarote showed it best side on day four of the IQFOiL International Games. On this second last day, the race committee managed to get two course races and the marathon race in before the lunch break. After the break all riders did another two races of slalom. At the end of this intense day of racing, it is still Spanish Pilar La Madrid leading the women fleet followed by Emma Wilson (GBR) and Maja Dziarnowska (POL). At the men Nicolas Goyard (FRA) managed to stay in the lead. Lake Lipno in the Czech Republic provided an unforgettable week of Olympic sailing as the best young sailors from across Europe gathered to compete for medals at the Junior European Championships. A wide variety of wind conditions and sunny weather ensured exciting racing and great experiences on and off the water. The 2024 European Junior Championships in the 49er and 49erFX classes, together with the Eurocup event in the 29er class, brought an exciting 4 days of intense racing to the Lake Lipno for over 140 competitors from 18 nations. The event was held under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic Mr. Petr Pavel. On Thursday, despite a favourable forecast, there was only one race in the 49er and 49erFX classes as a storm thwarted the plans of the race committee.
