Corrosion perforante découverte sur la poutre transversale de notre Lagoon 42 (2018), au niveau de la jonction des daviers. Après démontage et nettoyage, des traces de corrosion galvanique importantes sont apparues, avec perforation localisée de l’aluminium. Si vous êtes propriétaire de Lagoon 40 ou 42, vérifiez la zone sous les daviers avant : inox / aluminium + humidité + électrolyte = corrosion galvanique possible. Nous documentons ici le constat, sans conclusion hâtive. Trash on a boat is a daily occurrence! When we buy groceries we try to remove and leave as much packaging on shore but trash inevitably accumulates. In each new harbor we have to find the spot where cruisers can deposit their trash. In some cases, like St Maarten, it’s free. In other countries, or ports, there are small fees. The one thing a cruiser should never do is bring trash to land and leave it for someone else to take care of. Instead…stop by your neighbors (even if you don’t know them yet) and tell them you’re doing a trash run and you’re happy to take theirs!
