The days are ticking by now - already at Day 4. Today is normally the family day, all the young and budding sailors come out to inspect their dream boats. It is fun on the stand as the kids always have interesting questions to ask! Yesterday was a full day filled with sunshine and rain, giving everyone chance to wear all of their outfits including the foul weather gear! Tomorrow should also be interesting as it is not on a holiday, for the first time I believe. Exciting stuff here in Annapolis! On the stand today we are focusing on Autoprop, our funny looking sailboat propeller. There is nothing funny though about its performance, saving you 25% in fuel - come find out why on tent B1!

What used to be a very large, deep storage area has been changed to a cabinet door with internal shelves. The aft (left in this shot) door houses the storage shelves while the forward door door allows access to the steering linkage cables. Want more? J109 Going to Red was weaving in and out of the slower fleets as the made their way to Oban on the first passage race of West Highland Week 2023. Things we relatively calm at this stage of the race with the helping tide reducing the apparent breeze which made for smooth sailing which made it easy to judge close crosses like this one. As the day progress and the breeze built things got a little more lively towards the second half of the race with a few of the close crosses getting done with the boats more out of control than in. The bottom up boats team had a great time at WHYW, the weather was not great but the sailing and the social life more than made up for the damp conditions.
