After sailing to Newfoundland’s remote south coast, we established a wilderness base camp beneath the Nuddick and began exploring a granite wall that, as far as anyone knows, has never been climbed. This remote Newfoundland climbing expedition has taken months of planning, multiple gear hauls through difficult terrain, and countless miles aboard our wooden sailboat, Arabella. Now the ropes are fixed, the first routes are being scouted, and our attempt to establish new first ascents has officially begun. Giorno 66 - Riprendiamo la routine Stare qui ci era proprio mancato. I ritmi, i rumori, il rollio. Veniamo accolti dalle batterie che, allacciate ai pannelli, sono restate cariche al 100% regalandoci una gioia enorme. Per i prossimi giorni comunque sono previste alcune modifiche all’elettronica di bordo, ma ci sarà modo di parlarne in modo approfondito in un’occasione dedicata.
