CATAMARAN ALESSANDRA is custom made Lagoon Catamaran made for Alessandra Dupont and she claimed her at Les Sables D'olone /France in June@0/2013.She sailed from there to Atlantic coast of FRANCE, SPAIN,PORTUGAL ,PASSED THE BAY OF BISCAYNE WITH SAIL /40 KNOTS/,crossed GIBRALTAR TO MEDETERRANIAN,did all BALEARIC ISLANDS,IBIZA,PALMA DI MAJORCA,MENORCA,CORSICA,SARDINIA,EOLEIES,CROATIA,GREEK ISLANDS,KEKOVA TURKEY then crossed back the GIBRALTAR toLAS PALMAS to do the Christopher Colombous route via Cape VERDE ,Crossed the ATLANTIC TO ST.LUCIA. Celebrated new years Eve in Caribbean .continued ST.MARTIN,ST.BARTS,KITTS and NEVIS,SABA,BVI,PUERTO RICO,ST.THOMAS ,TCI,ALL BAHAMAS and ARRIVED TO FLORIDA. We have been struggling to sort out the battery power for the electric motor as part of our fully electric boat refit. Except for diesel heating for a British winter, we are going to be Fossil Fuel free. These Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries from Fogstar are the game changer for us. They are the Drift PRO 24V 280Ah LiFePO4 Leisure Battery (Gen2), a new product release that gives us 24Volt, 285Ah and able to deliver 300A. With four of them, we can provide our electric motor with the 48V and 600A it needs. This is an essential step towards finishing our huge refit so we can launch our 1977 Rival 38 Centre Cockpit ketch ASAP. Electrolysis damage repair on the keel of our 80-foot steel schooner Alaskan Gypsy. Using a @MillerWelders Maxstar 161S stick welder with 6010 downhand passes, cleaning up the steel and laying in multiple welds.
