Going Aloft! Scaling A Mast on our Sailboat! After two months, our mast has been stepped on our sailboat and this is the final ascent! Going Aloft for the final time! Kent Morrow from North Sound Rigging in Anacortes was a rock star Rigger. We converted from rod to wire--and he was super professional and so much fun. And now, our new adventure is upon us! Today I sailed home my new to me 1972 Bristol Carvel 22. I purchased for a great deal on eBay, if I told you how much you wouldn’t believe me so don’t even ask . Let’s just stay. It was an awesome deal. So I purchased her without ever looking at the cabin. I saw her from the shoreline, and I fell in love with this vintage sailboat. Now it’s time to start the motor for the very first time and head down the channel in East Greenwich Bay. Then it’s off to Narraganset Bay towards her new slip.
