Hey kids, when a port hull and a starboard hull love each other very much.... they make a catamaran. This is the early assembly of sv Little Bird, a Balance 526 Catamaran being built by Nexus Yachts in Saint Francis Bay, SA. Photo credit: Roger Paarman Music: liqwyd-vibes

In this diving video we get to meet up eye to giant eye with a squid. Did you know squid have the largest eye to body ratio in the entire animal kingdom! In fact, the Giant Squid (cousin to this Caribbean Reef Squid) has the largest eyes on the entire planet at a minimum of 10 in / 25 cm in diameter. Even the Blue Whale does not compare at 11 cm. What’s strange is small eyes can actually see dramatically further so why the enormous eyes? Large eyes are thought to be better at seeing large objects that give off their own light in deep water. So who might the squid be looking for? Well he doesn’t glow but his movements trigger creatures that do and he loves feasting on Squid, The Sperm Whale! Do you love scuba diving in our underwater world and meeting amazing animals like the Caribbean Reef Squid? Join us for a dive learn more facts on the squid 👉🏽 https://cruisenautic.com
