The marina takes on a different persona when the sun stays low and the cold winds start to blow. I went to check on “Moments in Time” during the winter solstice. The boats on the hard were whistling in the wind, the sounds of laughter and tinking of drinks from the pool area had long departed, droning of harbor traffic remained eerily silent, and the lapping of waves had become more pronounced. I watched the sun reached its zenith over Moments in Time as shared in the last frames of the video. It was cold so I did not linger long. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts. Step into the treacherous world of "The Lion of Crete," the enigmatic and ruthless pirate who ruled the Mediterranean in the 18th century. Discover the captivating stories of this mysterious figure, whose real name remains a mystery to this day. Commanding a fleet of pirate ships, he unleashed audacious attacks on unsuspecting merchant vessels, striking fear into the hearts of sailors across the region. Don't miss this thrilling glimpse into the audacity and ferocity of Cretan pirates that will leave you on the edge of your seat! Piracy in the Aegean Sea was a sophisticated operation that involved a network of pirates, merchants, and other collaborators. The pirates had bases on various islands and the mainland, from where they launched their attacks. They used fast and maneuverable ships, armed with cannons and other weapons, to overpower their targets. Once they captured a ship, they would loot its cargo, including money, precious metals, and slaves. They would then sell the loot to merchants and other traders, who were willing to buy them at a lower price. #shorts #pirates #piratesoftheaegean
