The doldrums of July and August is not lending itself to great sailing so Toni and I picked a day and committed to some sailing on Moments in Time no matter what. Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
