► Our Australian correspondent Kevin Green got the opportunity for a test sail aboard the XF75, a luxurious powercat that is as high-performance as it is exclusive, with a superstructure that doubles as a helipad. This powercat, offered by New Zealand manufacturer Voodoo Yachts and unveiled at the recent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, features a carefully optimized hull and foils that allow it to reach speeds of up to 50 knots. In addition to this impressive speed for a 75-foot vessel, the Voodoo boasts fuel consumption well below that of an 85- to 90-foot monohull superyacht offering the same features: the usable area measures some 3,000 square feet (279 m²)... By limiting its speed to 8 knots, the XF75 is capable of ocean passage-making. Check out the full test report in our next Power Special Edition #25. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Builder: Voodoo Yachts Length: 79’ (22.8 m) Beam: 25’ (7.6 m) Draft: 2’9” (0.9m) Displacement: 50 t Powertrain: 2 x 1,600 hp Propulsion: Waterjet Fuel: 3,963 US gal (15,000 l) Maximum speed: 50 knots Cruising speed: 28/40 knots Range: 1,200 miles at 35 knots and 3,000 miles at 8 knots Berths: 8 to 12 people ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests!
