The beginning of the Waddenslalom is a fact. Gerard Dykstra took the Bestevaer 36 for her first miles to a place she was designed for, the Dutch Wadden Islands. Thanks to the centerboard, the Bestevaer 36 can seamlessly navigate between deep and shallow waters. This enables the exploration of small waters and places that would otherwise be inaccessible. The retractable keel also allows the yacht to fall dry on sandbanks, providing a unique experience. It is therefore no surprise that the Bestevaer 36 feels like a fish in the water when slaloming the Wadden Islands. Although she is compact in size, the yacht is strong enough to sail to Spitsbergen, or beyond. The ability to maneuver with ease between the shallow waters of the Wadden Islands or the deep oceans in the North Sea makes the yacht ideal for sailors who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery ánd the more challenging sea.

We finally got our new Reckmann Furler fixed. After three weeks of having it, the furler stopped working. Aaron from Clarity Marine in Grenada discovered that inside the motor, the fastener for the wires was never tightened and the wires pulled out. Problem solved and we’re sailing with ease once again! Giorno 25 - EGADI A breve torneremo a Torino per una tappa tecnica a casa. Le novità che verranno sono inimmaginabili. Dovrete avere ancora qualche giorno di pazienza prima che possiamo dirvi di più. Prima di prendere il volo e rendere concreto un futuro tutt’oggi ancora sfocato quindi, restiamo in questo comodo e colorato limbo, dove possiamo ancora dire a noi stessi che siamo solo in ferie. Le miglia percorse oggi sono state simboliche, 4 per l’esattezza 😂 Abbiamo raggiunto una caletta dell’isola di Favignana per aspettare del vento forte previsto per stanotte in un luogo ben protetto. Pomeriggio di call, poi breve esplorazione della spiaggia della caletta. Un mare e una pace indescrivibili. Un gruppo ben amalgamato. Il tramonto. Ci leggiamo domani ❤️ Camilla
