"Segeln, trekken und entdecken"-Segeltörn zwischen Spanien und Marokko. Streifzug durch die Gassen von Tetouan. Segelreise über die Straße von Gibraltar und durch das Alboran-Meer von der Costa del Sol an die marokkanische Küste und zurück, 5 Übernachtungen an Bord der Segelyacht. Segeln lernen und selbst am Steuer stehen, afrikanische Häfen und die Kronkolonie Gibraltar anlaufen Trekking-Tour (von lokaler Organisation veranstaltet) 5 Tage Abenteuer-Trekking, ausgehend von der "Blauen Stadt" Chefchaouen im Rif-Gebirge, entlang eines wilden Flusstales und mächtiger Wasserfälle bis zum Meer. In kleiner Trekkinggruppe mit deutschsprachigem lokalen Führer durch die atemberaubende Landschaft Marokkos Erforschen und Entdecken marokkanischer Kultur, Besuch der "Blauen Stadt" Chefchaouen und Führung durch die Königsstadt Tetouan mit Medinas, Sukhs und Kasbahs. Mit dem Jeep und marokkanischen Sammeltaxis nach Chefchaouen und weiter in die Berge. Bummeln im Sukh (Markt) und der Medina (Altstadt) von Tetouan. Ausflug auf Gibraltars berühmten Affenfelsen Die Reise findet in kleiner Reisegruppe statt, maximal neun Personen inklusive Hansjörg sind im Team. Als Teil der Segelcrew arbeitet man an Bord aktiv mit, ist aber auch in Entscheidungsprozesse eingebunden. Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer erfahren von traditioneller und moderner Navigation, lernen die Schifffahrts-Regeln in der Straße von Gibraltar und über Strömungsverhältnisse und Tücken der berühmten Wasserstraße. Im Anschluss an die Überfahrt nach Afrika verlassen wir die Küste und fahren in marokkanischen Sammeltaxis in die Berge des Rifgebirges, einem Ausläufer des Niederen Atlas. Nach Besuch der “Blauen Stadt“ Chefchaouen, so genannt, weil die Häuser der Medina zum Schutz vor bösen Geistern blau getüncht sind, fahren wir mit dem einheimischen Bergführer Mohammed zum Nationalpark Akchour und wandern weiter in die Berge. In einer fünftägigen Trekkingtour erleben wir eine archaische Welt, die weder mit den marokkanischen Kulturzentren Marrakesch und Fes noch mit den wirtschaftlichen Zentren Rabat und Casablanca Gemeinsamkeiten hat. Durch das Rifbebirge führen fast keine Straßen und nur wenig Pisten. Die wenigsten Dörfer haben Stromanschluss. Die Landwirtschaft ist geprägt von Hanfkulturen. Moderne landwirtschaftliche Maschinen gibt es keine: die Äcker an Steilflanken der Berge werden mit Eseln und Ochsen, oft nur von Hand gepflügt. Die Ernte wird in Ballen am Rücken in die Dörfer getragen, getrocknet und verarbeitet. Die Trekkingroute führt entlang des Nationalparks Akchour zu einem der schönsten Wasserfälle Nordafrikas, entlang der Hanffelder und auf einsame Berghöhen, in unbewohnte Hochtäler und entlang eines Gebirgsflusses, durch dunkle und enge Schluchten und entlang eines weiten Tales bis zum Mittelmeer. Gelagert wird an Wasserfällen, auf einem alten Bergfriedhof und an Flussläufen. An zwei der vier Abende werden wir vom Landrover versorgt, an den beiden anderen Tagen transportiert man die Verpflegung selbst. Bergführer Mohammed kocht am Nebenfeuer, das Haupt-Lagerfeuer spendet Licht, Wärme und Heimeligkeit. Gemeinsam mit Bergführer Mohammed und Landrover-Fahrer Najib verbringen wir die Abende unter Sternen mit langen Gesprächen am Feuer. Nach Ankunft am Mittelmeer fahren wir in die Königsstadt Tetouan Der Sukh (Basar) und die Medina (Altstadt) von Tetouan sind UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. In einer Stadtführung besuchen wir den Sukh und die Medina, die landwirtschaftliche Kooperative der Berber und die traditionelle Gerberei. Tetouan, bewohnt von ethnisch vermischten Berbern und Arabern, ist geprägt von spanischem Kolonialismus. Die Architektur der Neustadt ist art deco (spanischer Jugendstil) . Sehenswert sind neben Sukh und Medina auch der berberische und der jüdische Friedhof, die im neumaurischen Stil gebaute Pfarrkirche Nustra Senora de la Victoria und unbedingt der beeindruckende Ausblick auf die mächtigen Höhen des Rifgebirges, der einen auf allen Wegen durch die Königsstadt begleitet. Segeln über die berühmteste Wasserstraße der Welt Gibraltar selbst ist sowohl sprichwörtlicher als auch literarischer Fels in der Brandung der beiden Weltmeere. Seit dem Jahr 1707 unter britischer Herrschaft, beherbergt „The Rock“, wie ihn die Einwohner nennen, ein Potpourri der Nationen: Menschen hauptsächlich britischer, spanischer, portugiesischer und italienischer Herkunft bevölkern eines der am dichtesten besiedelten Gebiete weltweit. Die aus diesen kulturellen Einflüssen entstandene Kultur am Ende Andalusiens ist in ihrer Vielfältigkeit imposant. Gibraltar ist einer der historischen, geographischen und sozialen Schnittpunkte der Welt . Und nicht umsonst erinnert der in Stein gemeißelte Spruch eines Denkmal an der Grenze zu La Linea/Spanien: „Gibraltar – Cradle of History“ – Wiege der Menschheit.
