We spend the night in Puerto de Cabrera, the natural port of the main island. Puerto de Cabrera 39°08'54.5"N 2°55'43.9"E The port entrance is hidden until you are in a lovely large sheltered bay, with mooring buoys with a 15th Century castle on the port side, that rises from a clump of stones. Whats the secret? Honestly I do not know, on day 7 my patience run out, I was annoyed and angry the whole day, the little sleep was catching up with me and the fact that we were moving excruciating slowly at 2-4kts made me over-frustrated. This video was taken by the skipper of a 54ft yacht in the Caribbean. The situation was that the skipper questioned the legendary speed under sail of the Shearwater 45, so Steve Hunt, the owner of "Maggy May", challenged him to a race to the next island and gave him a head-start of nearly 40 minutes. This was taken as the 45 sailed past him. It continued through his lee and arrived in port an hour ahead of the 54. See more info at http://dixdesign.com/sh45.htm .
