The 2021 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race started on Boxing Day, December 26th off Sydney Harbour, Australia. The 628.0nm race goes south and finishes at Hobart, Tasmania. Sweeping overall corrected time honors among the Doublehanders was Jules Hall and Jan ‘Clogs’ Scholten on the J/99 DISKO TROOPER- CONTENDER SAILCLOTH to gather the top prizes in Doublehanded IRC, ORC, and PHS Divisions. Remarkably, the J/99 DISKO TROOPER also won ORC Overall for the fleet (fully-crewed + doublehanders) by over 3 HOURS! Hallberg-Rassy now offer EcoDeck, which is a strong, flexible, solvent free, UV-proof polyurethane resin based decking and caprail system. This viscous-elastic composite material has a stylish and warm effect with a seamless and durable finish. PU teak is made of polyurethane, which is more durable and non-skid than a PVC deck. PU teak has been used for years on superyachts.
