Going behind the scenes at Barton Marine highlighted the skill and craftsmanship involved in creating one of their robust blocks many of us rely on out at sea. It is truly a team effort and the care taken to ensure quality product is available for sailors around the world to use is clear. Here is a 40 second video to show how a Barton block is made. From metal work and moulding of the components, to the hand assembly and quality control at every step, a British icon is born. #bartonmarine #bartonblocks #deckequipment #marineindustry #britishmanufacturing
Cannons and crumbling walls overlook the shimmering salt ponds, Great Bay, and Little Bay. Fort Amsterdam stands as a silent guardian over the island’s stunning natural beauty. Watch the sunlight dance over ancient stone, catch a glimpse of brown pelicans nesting nearby, and walk with us on a beautiful walkabout that captures the magic of this special place. This video is a peaceful wander through one of St. Maarten’s hidden gems. No history lesson here, just the sights, sounds, and gentle movement of the island we love. We have over 10 minutes of extended footage, including sailing scenes and more natural beauty. Want to see the full Lazy Days = Local Love adventure? At 65 feet you saw this glorious sailing catamaran arrive and has since been preparing for handover at the boat works. The answer depends on how much you want done after market. In this case the team laid 120 square of Burmese teak and installed two ONAN generators. Following the boat going to water the mast was stepped and rigging and sails are installed (this is no small feat, involving 12 people). Finally it’s time for its maiden sail for the final test! Look how beautiful this yacht is off the Gold Coast! All that’s left is handover… we can’t wait for the owner to set sail on their own adventures!
