Sunshine and a steady 8 knots for breeze brought 14 boat in YTC 1 for the annual KYC Open Keel Boat event. The race committee set two great course with the first race running for just under 2 hours followed by a shorter 1 hour second rave. The local A35 showed everyone a clear pair of heel to win the Bennett Cup with two victories, with the time on GTR scoring to 2 & a 4 to win on count back. GTR owned the boat end of the line for the second start of the day boxing out Exlir and a pack of Impala's that tried to barge in. Strangford lough is a great place to go racing on a sunny spring day. The Team at Bottom up boats will remember to pack the GoPro for their next outing to ensure we can share some more racing footage.....

In this video, the Global Surveyor encounters an Inuit boat near Ikateq, Greenland, close to the abandoned US Army Air Force base known as 'Bluie East Two'. This base operated from 1942 to 1947 before being abandoned.
