Un de los retos más importantes (y difíciles) de la campaña "Velero Diosa Maat en Acción", era el cruce del mar de Alborán. Desde Almería, casi 100 millas de mar, mar, mar nos separaban de nuestro destino: Melilla. ¡Última parada de "El velero Diosa Maat en Acción"! En Melilla nos espera "Ecologistas en Acción-Guelaya", la federación de Ecologistas en Acción de la Ciudad. Como curiosidad nos dicen que Guelaya es una zona geográfica que abarca más que la ciudad de Melilla y se adentra en Marruecos. Y coincidimos con ellos: el ecologismo no entiende de fronteras. Durante la travesía nos organizamos en turnos de dos personas cada dos horas, para asegurar que siempre hubiese alguien en cubierta mirando al horizonte y vigilando cualquier novedad en la mar (como barcos grandes que se comen el velero).
