Season 2 of Wave Rover starts off with a Huge announcement! I'm building a new boat. Wave Rover Hull #1 is a brand new 21foot pocket cruiser. Designed by an naval architect to comfortably circumnavigate the world, and yet, be built by the average person in a residential garage/shed. Design ideas that I have thought about over my many ocean voyages, both large and small, have been included in this design. The reason for the 2 different Displacement numbers: 2350lbs light boat; 2950 long range cruising( fully loaded with supplies for a 60 day voyage). I will build her over the next 18 months. Learn how to tie the Double Fishermans knot in a matter of seconds. The Double Fishermans knot is a great knot for joining two ropes of equal diameter. The additional turns in the main part of the knot provide some benefits over the single Fishermans knot, making it more secure when not under load while making it easier to undo after it has been under load.
