No more propane on our boat! All electric baby! With 920 Watts of solar installed, we decided to gut the old propane stove and rebuild it with an electric induction cooktop. It was actually easier than we thought, and involved drilling out a few rivets and repurposing some parts. The result ended up looking pretty great, and we even have a shelf in the middle for storing pots and pans. Unfortunately, only a single burner induction cooktop would fit, so we’ll have to make do. We moved the microwave to the bottom of the stove, which frees up some much needed counter space. We purchased a small countertop convection toaster oven so we can still toast and bake things, if needed. Have you ever thought about doing this? SailGP is back with a vengeance! Reigning SailGP champions Emirates Great Britain scored the first win of the 2026 season with a victory at the Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix. ▫️ The British outfit clocked a 100 per cent fly-time despite the meter-high waves Down Under. ▫️ BONDS Flying Roos (Aus) pulled out he stops for the sellout crowd, stealing second place from DS Team France in a photo finish in front of the SailGP Grandstands. It was tough to control the the remote control yachts in blustery conditions off the pontoon at SLYC during the Saturday morning racing. After a nice rounding and gybe at the top mark a big puff sent this yacht down the mine and into a massive nosedive and round up. With the pressure going from 5 to 15 in seconds it was hard to get the nose away after the wind made it hard to play. The team at bottom up boats love racing of all shapes and sizes, I loved taking this footage and spending a few minutes on the dock talking to some life long sailors who now enjoy racing from the peer long past the days that their sea legs have deserted them.
