Land ahoy was the word when we first spotted land, what a feeling! Arrival was in the first hours of the morning, sun raising behind us, and on the distance the skyscrapers. Quite a shock for most of the crew, after months in the tropical South Pacific. Auckland is our home for the next few weeks, while we get ready for our next Journey - Antarctica! One of the biggest decisions we had to make when preparing to buy our yacht was whether or not to buy a dog. We looked at the pros and cons of having a dog on the boat and researched what type of dog might be best suited for a life aboard. Ultimately we settled on an Australian Shepherd and a few months later Rose came into our lives. Now, we couldn't imagine traveling the world without her.
