Day 2 on our Atlantic Crossing. We had very relaxed conditions and were able to unpack our spinnaker again. It's really impressive, especially when there are also some dolphins around 🌊 And we were also rewarded with a bonito, which we used straight away as sushi. Delicious 😋 And it was even so relaxed that we were able to play games. Lost my sails and engine whilst transiting the Kaiwi channel solo. Full video coming soon. Myself and the boat eventually made it back to shore safely. I'm curious to know if this is the average population density of crown of thorns sea stars for this area of Baja California. I went down a little rabbit hole about their biology, behavior, and ways we can support the coral reef ecosystem. That being said, what I witnessed while scuba diving in La Paz is nothing compared to the imagery I found of these sea stars taking over coral reefs in Australia.
