Anfisbena is my first plywood boomerang Inspired by Pierre Kutek's carbon boomerang "Kayabonga 2" 2'5mm plywood, spray painted Amphisbaena is a mitological creature consisting of a snake with a head on each end. The project started as a gift for a left handed amateur thrower (this is indeed version 3 of the project) and I loved the design so much that I had to make one for myself. Tuned to almost zero wind How do you like it? :)

It is self-sufficient in electricity with 2400 W new solar panels, 900 amp Lithium batteries, with a 5000 W Victron quattro inverter/charger. All the running rigging goes back to the cockpit enabling sailing single handedly and safety at sea. A new radar and the large 12 inch chart plotter was installed in June 2023 which simplifies navigation. The new 25 hp outboarder provides for exploration at sea and fun water activities in the 340 UL Highfield dinghy. While I’ve been away visiting Japan’s longevity hotspots and gathering field notes for my book, Wahine has been quietly waiting at the dock. But apparently not alone. Some local visitors decided to make themselves at home, so on this trip away, I’ve recruited a new crew member to keep watch — 24/7.
