That's probably the most common mistake new sailors do when med Mooring. After stopping the boat, instead of getting into neutral, they just drop to dead slow forward, and that results the boat to exit the slot and completely ruin a successful approach. We've done one or two of these before in different places. You just let others know it's happening and go sit out in the anchorage for people to show up. Bring snacks and drinks and hang out. We learned a couple of things: There is good snorkeling/diving on the other end of the anchorage. There is a boat here that converted their engines to full electric and we can go visit it to hear what they did. And we got a ton of information on places we might sail to next year including Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Put one together, always a good time!
