Hi!👋🏻 We're Ed & Paige. We met in 2011, and since then have grown together as a couple through our love of travel, sailing, and finding ourselves on some pretty epic (sometimes questionable) adventures. In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father (I got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻). Following his return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. After nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. Located near Kulusuk in East Greenland, Knud Rasmussen Glacier can be found at the end of Sermiligaaq Fjord. Sermilik Fjord is a big fjord west of the village Tasiilaq. The name Sermilik translates to ‘place with glacier’. The fjord is filled with icebergs because it receives water from multiple glaciers. While the Global Surveyor sailed in, we observed many whales and seals in their natural habitat, but no polar bears on the shore. Global Surveyor is set to sail to the Arctic for the summer.
