Last weekend it was time for the sea trial of the Bestevaer 62 Luskentyre, the latest member of the Bestevaer family. In the coming weeks the last things will be tackled and the owners will take her for a more extensive sea trial. After that she can be admired at the Hiswa in-water Boat Show from August 30 to September 3. You can come and see her at berth C38. The Catamaran is a tri-lingual portal publishing work by journalists from all over Sri Lanka. Stories in English, Sinhalese and Tamil provide background and add analysis to the most interesting stories in the country. Original reporting is available for free syndication to Sri Lankan and international media, the aim being to give novice reporters exposure and help experienced local journalists reach a wider audience. Bringing journalists from different Sri Lankan communities together strengthens vital ties and increases opportunities for collaboration, as well as contributing to capacity building in the Sri Lankan media sector. The online-magazine The Catamaran.org is editorially run by the Berlin-based organization, Media in Cooperation and Transition.
