Discover why you should pay a visit to the isle of Staffa on your next adventure sailing Scotland! Unique, haunting, and utterly unforgettable – setting foot in Staffa's Fingal’s Cave, a 227-foot cavern comprised entirely of hexagonal stone, is unlike any other experience on the planet. Sir Walter Scott called the cave “one of the most extraordinary places I ever beheld” but this is one wonder you need to see for yourself. Here in San Diego, we’re lucky to enjoy year-round sailing, with our crew hitting the water 7 days a week, all 12 months of the year. Southern California’s weather during January, February, and March is hard to beat—lately, we’ve been enjoying sunny days with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. One of the most common questions we hear this time of year is: "Will I get cold on the water?" The truth is, San Diego’s winter weather isn’t all that different from fall or spring.   Captain Dave’s Tip: Bring an extra layer—like a windbreaker or jacket—to stay comfortable during your sail. And don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with cozy blankets, especially when the sun begins to set on our Sunset Sails. Another reason to sail this season? It’s prime wildlife-spotting time! Whale-watching season is happening NOW through mid-April.  Join one of our Whale-Watching Sails to catch gray whales in their natural habitat as they migrate south to Baja, California, right along our coastal waters.   We can’t wait to welcome you aboard for a relaxing and memorable winter sailing experience! 🌞🌊

Black Jack and Wild Oats XI both hit the water shaping up for the first race since their respective modifications. The CYCA Cabbage Tree Island Race will be held on Friday, November 8 with a record fleet heading north up to Cabbage Tree Island just off the northern entry to Port Stephens. With InfoTrack also entered in the race, we will see three of the five supermaxi yachts competing in the record fleet of 67 entries for this leadup race to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
