Un de los retos más importantes (y difíciles) de la campaña "Velero Diosa Maat en Acción", era el cruce del mar de Alborán. Desde Almería, casi 100 millas de mar, mar, mar nos separaban de nuestro destino: Melilla. ¡Última parada de "El velero Diosa Maat en Acción"! En Melilla nos espera "Ecologistas en Acción-Guelaya", la federación de Ecologistas en Acción de la Ciudad. Como curiosidad nos dicen que Guelaya es una zona geográfica que abarca más que la ciudad de Melilla y se adentra en Marruecos. Y coincidimos con ellos: el ecologismo no entiende de fronteras. Durante la travesía nos organizamos en turnos de dos personas cada dos horas, para asegurar que siempre hubiese alguien en cubierta mirando al horizonte y vigilando cualquier novedad en la mar (como barcos grandes que se comen el velero).

A somber evening for many reasons. A spot of joy here and there, but I'm afraid it is hard to care. So many friends are hurting for so many reasons. It's really hard to be happy with the season. I hope you and yours find joy in the morning some of us will still be mourning. It isn't a joy kill that we know as a skill. It is the fact of our age we've seen some pain.
