Take a tour of the Oyster 565's wide hydraulic swim platform. Featuring a deck shower to wash away the salt after an idyllic swim in clear blue waters, the swim platform gives easy access back onto the boat from the water or your tender. The Oyster 565 is a sub-60-foot sailboat, designed to be sailed shorthanded by a couple or family. Boasting many of the features you would expect on a larger bluewater sailing yacht, she is capable of everything from a coastal cruise to circumnavigating the globe without the need for a professional crew. Jawfish have an impressive ability to rapidly change colour, which they use for communication, camouflage, and intimidation. These colour changes can occur in response to their mood, environmental conditions, or the presence of other fish. For example, a jawfish might display darker colours to signal aggression or dominance when defending its territory or a potential mate. This dynamic colour-changing ability adds to their fascinating behaviour and interaction with their surroundings. ~~~ #marineanimals #marinebiodiversity #marinelife #marinewildlife #jawfish

In this diving video we get to meet up eye to giant eye with a squid. Did you know squid have the largest eye to body ratio in the entire animal kingdom! In fact, the Giant Squid (cousin to this Caribbean Reef Squid) has the largest eyes on the entire planet at a minimum of 10 in / 25 cm in diameter. Even the Blue Whale does not compare at 11 cm. What’s strange is small eyes can actually see dramatically further so why the enormous eyes? Large eyes are thought to be better at seeing large objects that give off their own light in deep water. So who might the squid be looking for? Well he doesn’t glow but his movements trigger creatures that do and he loves feasting on Squid, The Sperm Whale! Do you love scuba diving in our underwater world and meeting amazing animals like the Caribbean Reef Squid? Join us for a dive learn more facts on the squid 👉🏽 https://cruisenautic.com
