Four years of building, not just a boat, but a home. We’ve sanded teak and shared late-night coffees, argued over tiny details and laughed over even smaller things. We’ve shaped this dream side by side — every bolt, every stitch, every plan held together by love and a shared vision. And as we stand here with just one month to go, I can’t help but think how rare and lucky it is… to find someone who shares the same dreams, the same values, and the same crazy idea of what an adventure should look like. Because in the end, it was never just about the boat — it was always about us.
Hello, sailors. That's a wrap for Monday Marina 2024. Before we dock and move to other marinas, let's finish with the island of La Palma, where the stars meet the sea. https://seatv.world/location/canary-islands-spain/docking/la-palma-marina-santa-cruz Nestled in the western Canaries, this marina offers more than shelter from Atlantic swells. Its 180 berths are protected by a stunning 14-meter steel gate. Picture yourself here: by day, exploring cobblestone streets and volcanic landscapes; by night, gazing at one of the clearest skies in the world. They don't call La Palma the 'Beautiful Island' for nothing. From the dramatic Caldera de Taburiente to the astronomical wonders at Roque de los Muchachos, every sailor's story becomes part of something greater. As we sail into 2025, let this enchanting island remind us that the best adventures combine sea and stars, history and horizon, comfort and discovery. Explore more of La Palma's wonders at SeaTV.world for our complete visual guide. Here's to new horizons and endless possibilities in 2025! May your compass always point to adventure and your anchor find peaceful harbours. I look forward to seeing you next year for more marina discoveries! #shorts #sailingchannel #canaryislands
After sailing 32,500 nautical miles around the world I want to give a shout out to my two loyal and exceptional crew members. They never talk back to me, require feeding or fall asleep on watch. In a perfect world they would make cups of tea and wash the dishes but I can't complain. The Aries windvane has kept Fathom on course in all sorts of conditions from 5knots of wind to 50knots of wind, flat seas to tumbling waves, upwind and downwind. I couldn't have got this far without it and have spent many hours watching it do its business without complaint using no electricity and only the power of the wind, a truly fantastic piece of engineering. Secondly the Aquair 100 tow gen. The generator is mounted on the pushpit and the forward motion of the boat spins a metal propeller at the end of 20m of rope. In winds over 15kts the drag created is unimportant and in tandem with the solar panel it keeps the batteries full and the fridge going 24/7. Cheers to both!
