► Since 1973, the La Rochelle Boat Show, known simply as “Le Grand Pavois” in French, has been THE not-to-be-missed afloat show on France’s Atlantic coast. With 750 boats on display and a record 80,000 visitors, the 2023 event (that ran from September 20 to 25, so a little earlier than usual) clearly benefited from the scheduled absence of the Paris Boat Show at the end of the year. According to the organizers, no more than 10 square feet was left available at the Port des Minimes! Of course, the Multihulls World team was there. With the Atlantic hurricane season approaching thousands of sailboats are heading towards safer waters. Many come down to Trinidad, which is seen as a safe place to store your yacht. The shipyard Power Boats hauled a Leopard Catamaran from the same series as us, the Leopard 45. It's the first of at least 5 who are coming this season, and we look forward to meeting or catching up with the other owners.
