Les bateaux à pontons sont tout à fait indiqués pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants qui veulent partir à l’aventure en toute quiétude. Les tout-petits peuvent trottiner à leur guise sur le vaste pont dont les rambardes rappellent un parc pour enfants. Lorsqu'ils sont pourvus d'un moteur plus puissant, ils peuvent se déplacer aussi rapidement qu’un hors-bord.
