A bordo di Maserati Multi 70 siamo al secondo giorno di navigazione in Oceano Indiano, navighiamo tra i 24 e i 28 nodi di media in rotta verso Mauritius. The modern Catamarans are made for comfort and not so much for sailing, that means they project a very large beam surface and the anchor cannot be effective with more than 15 kts of Crossing wind. To make the anchor effective you must upgrade to maybe 50 kg witch is unrealistic for this kind of boats, so make sure you protect your leeward quarter with a round fender or even better a permanent fender that can protect from any kind of accidental touch to the dock during your backing as well.
