As we are leaving on a jet plane bound for Thailand to start 2025’s adventures it seems a good time to look back at all that we did in 2024. Sometimes it’s only when you look back that you truly see all that you’ve done. 2024 for us has been another year of incredible adventures; from sailing ⛵️our home from Gibraltar back to the U.K. against the prevailing trade winds, to buying a barge and navigating miles of the inland waterways to move our new home to the Midlands, and all that came between. 2025 has so much in store for us already. New adventures, by land, by water and air await! hello! It has been a rough few weeks onboard with working through all of the possible routes and weather windows to sail through the Bahamas during what is supposed to be a very active hurricane season. We would have been rushing through and that just seemed silly. So, we’ve come to the difficult decision that it safest for us to sail north until early fall before making our way back south.
