Hyper competitive. The Laser Radial fleet never fails to bring the action. Like the Laser, the Laser Radial is an easy boat to sail badly. Racing the Radial at the top level requires a very high level of core fitness in order to endure the hiking and body-torque techniques essential to get the boat moving fast. Radial sailing also requires a tactical mind as championships are some of the closest on the Olympic sailing circuit, often coming down to the very last minute. Chinese sailor Jingkun Xu's wore his heart on his sleeve as he raced around the world. So did many of the other sailors and while everyone's story was fascinating, the fact that Jingkun has just one arm speaks no English and ran his entire campaign with barely any shore crew made his story all the more fascinating. But his journey was more than that - when he talked to the camera he did so to mark a moment in his journey, for good or for bad and you just couldn't help but get drawn into his world. This week we take a summary look at his incredible story and trip around the world in our Week 15 review - here's a teaser. @VendeeGlobeENG @xujingkun99hines
