Originally designed as a fast cruiser and capable racing boat, the 42s7 comes with a very attractive and functional interior designed by Philippe Stark. The pear wood and curved shapes, multiple opening ports and generous headroom gives the impression of a much larger boat. The oval salon table comfortably fits 6 to 8. Being a First series boat by Bruce Farr Yacht Design, the 42s7 is a pleasure to sail and will perform very well in light air as well as gale conditions. This two cabin layout features a salon perfect for entertaining, with the galley that is out of the way, yet secure on passage. A pair of electric primary winches in the cockpit make sailing and getting the dinghy up easy! Boats setup to cruise internationally come with much more gear than what you’re used to seeing in marinas in the United States. Davits, dinghy, solar panels, fuel polishing, water maker, new generation anchors and heavy duty chain and windlasses. This 42S7 has it all! Save money on taxes and refit expenses by buying a boat already in Mexico ready to go anywhere! Jason cruised on his 50ft ketch in Mexico from 2015-2022, before going ashore in Banderas Bay and working for Infinity Yachts. Leverage his recent experience cruising in the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Mexico to get your cruising adventure started with confidence and the connections you need to be successful. Toni and I will be at the 2025 Annapolis Fall Sailboat Show on Thursday and Friday, October 9-10. If you see us, say Hi. 2025 has been a year of change for our Seawind 1260, “Moments in Time”. After sailing her as delivered for a season, we had a list of improvements that we wanted to get check off the list. This is one of the last ones. We originally swore we would never close in the cockpit as that was one of our favorite features. We spend more time relaxing in the cockpit than our saloon. But certain beautiful anchorages along Chesapeake’s eastern shore are forbidden certain times of the year due to vicious swarms of bugs. Screening in the cockpit now opens these anchorages back up. The visibility looking out from the cockpit is excellent so we can still enjoy our views but the visibility from the outside looking in is muted, providing some privacy. We can the screens up while sailing, or remove them for storage. We also had blackouts made for the saloon windows in the same pattern as the “Screens Saloon Shade Clip On” 1260 option which only blocked 40 percent of the sunshine. 40 percent is not enough when at a marina or trying to run the air conditioner on hot sunny days. The saloon glass can get so hot you can barely touch it and would radiate the heat. These new shades block 95 percent of the heat, allows light in, provides privacy, and the beige color really knocks down the inside temperatures. Downside is that they must be removed while underway. And since they had the sewing machine and material out, we had some winch covers made as well. Another checkmark closer to releasing the lines. Subscribe and share in the adventure!
