The Yachting Malta Ltd EurILCA Masters race went underway this afternoon just off Sliema seafront when the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 fleets managed to fit in two races. The approximate 8 knots of wind, and negligible swell allowed the fleet to fit in two races. Unfortunately after the second race, the wind dropped to 5knots resulting in the fleet return back to its base at the Royal Malta Yacht Club. The ILCA 6 fleet saw Rob Cage (GBR) and Vadim Yahkhinson win a race each, with Cage leading the standings for the day with 3 points. The larger, ILCA 7 fleet saw Christoph Marsano (AUT) and Aristos Chatzistamatiou (GRE) take two wins, however it was Wolfgang Gerz (GER) who matched Marsano’s points tally, both finishing the day with five points each.
By May, the spring sun in Split already feels like summer — warm, bright, and full of promise. Yet the streets of the Old Town are still calm and nearly empty. In just a few weeks, tourists from all over Europe will fill the squares, cruise ships will line the harbor, and the city will come alive with energy and laughter. But right now, in this peaceful shoulder season, it’s the perfect time to wander the ancient alleyways and sip a margarita or Aperol at a local bar — no crowds, no lines, just you and the quiet charm of Split. #PAPARegatta #CatamaranCruise #SailingLife #SailingLifeStyle #Croatia #Dalmatia #Split
