SEAWORTHY is an excellent example of the popular Eastbay 38. The Ray Hunt design combined with the excellent Grand Banks build quality led to a timeless look and feel that makes these yachts very sought after. SEAWORTHY is owned by an experienced couple that are world class yachtsmen and sailors, having owned previously a Fleming motoryacht and several race yachts, plus being a Past Commodore of the Annapolis Yacht Club and Past President of BOAT US. You will find this Eastbay 38 to be in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition as well as being regularly upgraded. SEAWORTHY's past owners have maintained her in impeccable shape as well, including the first owner that had her commissioned on the Great Lakes, where she was kept in fresh water and used seasonally. Powered by twin Volvo Penta TAMD 63 diesel engines with 830 original hours this is an excellent power package for the Eastbay 38. Better fuel burn than Cats and fewer maintenance requirements lead to a durable, economical power plant. Central Listing Agent Erik Haaland (410) 279-3027 erik@davidwaltersyachts.com

The wooden frame to lift the engine with must be very stable. Test with your own body that it's completly stable in all directions. Used double lifting devices to make the engine to move sidewards. Used plywood and soft material to protect the opening of the entrance to the boat. Shifted to a support over the entrance to the boat to get the engine into the thunnel. It was surpricing easy to get the engine in the right position. Checked with feeler gaugh that it was perfect aligned with the straight axis. The engine supports are flat and the the adjustment plates are under the supports. Those had not been changed when the engine was lifted out of the boat. As the alignment was absolutely perfect, I do not expect to even have to check when the boat comes into water.
