Det Ă€r den första rĂ€ddningsbĂ„ten i sitt slag och som har designats av norska Birger Kullmann Design Naval Architecs. Under Ă„ret kommer rĂ€ddningsbĂ„ten att placeras vid SkĂ€rhamns rĂ€ddningsstation pĂ„ Tjörn för att dĂ€r bemannas av frivilliga sjörĂ€ddare. – Den hĂ€r generationen rĂ€ddnings-bĂ„tar Ă€r helt och hĂ„llet framtagen med vĂ„ra frivilliga i fokus. Allt Ă€r gjort för att det ska vara sĂ„ lĂ€tt som möjligt, bĂ„de viktmĂ€ssigt för att nĂ„ högre toppfart men ocksĂ„ för att den ska vara lĂ€tt att hantera, sĂ€ger Jonas Carlsson som tillsammans med Ian Wilson utgör SjörĂ€ddningssĂ€llskapets nybyggnationsteam. Första bĂ„ten har döpts till Margareta Emblad efter önskemĂ„l frĂ„n donatorn. – Detta Ă€r en allroundbĂ„t som ska passa pĂ„ mer eller mindre alla vĂ„ra stationer. Kompromissen vi gjort Ă€r att vi inte kan köra sjuktransporter pĂ„ samma sĂ€tt eftersom det krĂ€ver att man kan gĂ„ igenom frĂ„n utrymmet vid frontluckan till hytten och det kan man inte hĂ€r, sĂ€ger han. DesigntĂ€nket har varit en mer ergonomisk och utrustad rĂ€ddningsbĂ„t med moderna system som Ă€r lĂ€tta att lĂ€ra. Tröskeln till att anvĂ€nda bĂ„ten ska vara lĂ„g för att den ska kunna anvĂ€ndas av fler sjörĂ€ddare. – Det Ă€r lika mycket teknik hĂ€r som i vĂ„ra 15-metersbĂ„tar, men det Ă€r vĂ€ldigt lite instrument. Allt Ă€r nerflyttat och integrerat, bara det som Ă€r relevant presenteras. Man behöver exempelvis inte ha en egen panel bara för lanternor och en för lĂ€nspumpen, sĂ€ger Jonas Carlsson. Mycket av tĂ€nket för navigationen har hĂ€mtats frĂ„n bilindustrin. – Oavsett vilken bil man hamnar i vet man ungefĂ€r hur man startar och sedan kör. Det ska vara samma sak hĂ€r. Om nĂ„got skulle vara fel och som man behöver agera pĂ„ talar bĂ„ten om det sjĂ€lv. GĂ„r det ett larm kommer det stĂ„ i klartext pĂ„ skĂ€rmarna samtidigt som en röst berĂ€ttar, sĂ€ger han. De första testerna har visat att Rescue Margareta Emblad gĂ„r fint i höga farter, har en god manövrering, bra ergonomi och 40 procent lĂ€gre brĂ€nsleförbrukning jĂ€mfört med andra rĂ€ddningsbĂ„tar som SjörĂ€ddningen har i drift idag. – Vi gjorde en ganska grundlig utredning av hur drivlinan skulle se ut, frĂ„n motor och backslag till vattenjet. Vi valde Volvo Penta eftersom de vĂ€ger minst med mest effekt, sĂ€ger han. BĂ„ten gör 44,5 knop i medvind och 43 knop i motvind, men kommer att ha en begrĂ€nsning vid 34 knop. – Idag körs mĂ„nga av vĂ„ra bĂ„tar i full fart Ă€ven om det kanske inte alltid Ă€r brĂ„dskande. I den hĂ€r nya klassen kan man vĂ€lja att ta ut full effekt vid larm, annars ligger en begrĂ€nsning vid strax under 80 procent av effekten. I cockpit finns tre sittplatser för besĂ€ttningen, tvĂ„ fram och en precis bakom. – I vissa bĂ„tar har befĂ€lhavaren fĂ„tt stĂ„ bakom, men nu har vi gjort en stol dĂ€r man antingen kan sitta och övervaka eller vara under utbildning och sitta dĂ€r och lĂ€ra upp sig. Att lĂ€ra upp skeppare har varit en stor utmaning för oss, men genom detta hoppas vi att det ska bli lĂ€ttare, sĂ€ger han. Hittills Ă€r sju enheter bestĂ€llda i serien. Under maj och juni kommer Rescue Margareta Emblad att ge sig ut pĂ„ en turnĂ© till Pool i England för Royal National Lifeboat Institutions 200-Ă„rsfirande och dĂ€refter till Amsterdam och De Koninklijke -Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij för deras dito. – I mitten av juni ska vi sedan köra runt och visa upp den pĂ„ olika stationer i Sverige, dĂ€refter gĂ„r den till SkĂ€rhamn, sĂ€ger Jonas Carlsson. Genom en helt ny och extra lĂ„ng vattenlinje i kombination med den lĂ€gre vikten kan brĂ€nsle förbrukningen sĂ€nkas med upp till 40 procent. We crossed the North Sea from the UK to the Netherlands on the 3+4 February 2022! It was a 33 hour sail trip, including 14 hours of night sailing. To experience how this is, I made a 25 seconds movie. So you have an idea of what you see during the night, or better: don’t see 😊. The red light is the left front of the boat and the green light is the right side of the boat. Also listen to the sound of the ship sailing in the dark! I send this movie to one of my uncles via WhatsApp and he replied, he thought his phone was broken when playing this movie, because his screen turned so dark!
